The Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers are excited to welcome Camden Burgess of Anamosa, Iowa, to the team. Head Coach Ricky Sauls announced Burgess’ signing, marking a significant addition to the roster as SIC looks to reload following the graduation of several key archers.

Camden brings a wealth of experience to the Falcons, having competed in archery for 15 years. During his high school career, he was a multi-sport athlete, participating in archery, cross country, trap, and basketball. His archery accomplishments include winning the State S3DA 3D Tournament twice and securing an Indoor State Championship title. He has also been an active member of the Wapsi Valley Archery Club.

Camden will be enrolling in SIC’s Outfitter Wildlife Management Program, with plans to complete the two-year program before pursuing a career with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

“Camden will be a big asset to the archery team due to losing several to graduation,” said Coach Ricky Sauls. “He will be filling a very important role. Camden is an accomplished archer and a very good student, and we are excited to have him as a Falcon archer.”

Burgess was joined at his signing by his family, including his father, Walker Burgess; mother, Kayse Burgess; brother, Abel Burgess; and sister, Koralea Burgess, along with Coach Sauls.

Southeastern Illinois College continues to build on its tradition of excellence in archery, and the addition of Camden Burgess strengthens the program’s future. The SIC Falcon Archers look forward to seeing him compete at the collegiate level.
